Celebrities Talk Tattoos - Eliza Dushku

Image
In today's society more and more regular people are getting tattoos everyday and the same can be said for celebrities. However it is still quite interesting that even though celebrities have tattoos and talk openly about them, when they appear in a TV commercials cover of a magazine the tattoos are suddenly no where to be seen. Eliza Dushku, who became famous as Faith on the hit TV show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is staring in a new show on Fox called Dollhouse. To help promote the show Eliza appears on the cover of the latest issue of Maxim Magazine. Ironically, all of Eliza's tattoos are no where to be found on any of her pictures in the magazine. Ancient Angel Tattoo Designs

Image
Angel tattoo designs have been around for centuries with many designs now lost in time or destroyed by the church during dark periods of our history. Thankfully some artwork from all over the world has survived these dark periods, the better pieces being in museums and in private hands. Angel tattoos can have many special meanings and representations to a whole range of people. Some people have a spiritual connection either from a religious background or from an even in their life which has made them turn to the church or spiritual realms for guidance and support. Michael Scofield the character from the television show "Prison Break" has helped create a new awareness for these tattoo designs with his character being inked all over his upper body with a good and evil angel tattoo theme. There are many angels in biblical history, not just in Christianity but they can also be found in the Judaic and Islam religions too. These similar beings are what we call Archangels. In Chri

California: Culture And Leisure

Image
High- and low-brow art enjoy comparable support here. For most people, the state's contributions to culture are the many blockbusters made by Hollywood movie studios or televised sitcoms shot on LA sound stages. This is art in unashamed pursuit of the almighty dollar, complete with tabloid scandals and giant movie billboards blotting out the Los Angeles sun. But another creativity reveals itself through the state's history of landscape painting, portraiture, and 20th-century avant-garde art. Modern artists John McLaughlin and Elmer Bischoff , and ceramists Peter Voulkos and Robert Arneson have all made international reputations. So have a few pioneers of photographic art, such as Imogen Cunningham and Ansel Adams. British artist David Hockney lived here for many years, capturing the state's sun-soaked image on canvas. California is also home to some of the world's finest art museums, including LACMA, the Oakland Museum, the San Francisco MOMA, and the two J Paul Getty
